Dr Faheem Naqvi – MB ChB, MRCPsych, MSc

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Naqvi gained his medical degree from the University of Liverpool, he completed his psychiatry training in Manchester. Dr Naqvi is passionate about mental health as well as medical education and regularly teaches medical students, foundation doctors, physician associates and speciality trainees and is an OSCE examiner for the University of Manchester Medical School. Dr Naqvi found in his training that finding the correct courses at the crucial times was often difficult and was leaving a skills shortage in the health workforce and after discussions with his colleagues Dr Anjum and Dr Iqbal, was born.

Dr Omer Anjum – MB ChB MRCGP

General Practitioner


Dr Anjum qualified from Liverpool Medical School. He thereafter completed his foundation training at the Manchester Royal Infirmary before entering GP training at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. He currently works as a GP Consultant with a specialist interest in urgent care and has a passion for medical education. Alongside Dr Naqvi and Dr Iqbal he is the founder of

Dr Zohaib Iqbal MB ChB, MSc, MRCP(UK)



Dr Zohaib Iqbal is a Specialist Registrar in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Central Manchester Foundation Trust. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Diabetic medicine at the University of Manchester. He is a keen educator delivering teaching to medical students, foundation doctors and medical trainee’s throughout his career as a physician. He has been involved as an examiner for various medical exams and was awarded Best Teacher’ Award in 2012 for his work teaching medical students at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. He is a founder of Career CPD together with Dr Naqvi and Dr Anjum.

Susan Singleton PA-R, B.Sc D.Pod.M, S.R.Ch, M.Ch.S

Physician Associate


Susan worked for many years as a podiatrist before joining the first cohort of Physician Associates to be trained at The University of Liverpool. Susan is currently working as a Physician Associate in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Arrowe Park Hospital.

Susan founded the PA Buddy Support Network, primarily to support Physician Associates during their first year of practice. Susan has an interest in education and leadership and has joined Career CPD as a founding member as she has noticed the need for tailored CPD courses for the healthcare workforce

Dr. Umair Gondal – MBChB with European Studies, MRes in Oncology

Specialist Trainee in General Practice


Dr Gondal attained an MBChB (Medicine) with European Study Module (German) from the University of Manchester in 2017. Keen to further his academic research skills, he also successfully completed an MRes (Oncology) alongside his main studies.

Following this, he finished his Foundation Training as part of the North-West Deanery at Royal Oldham Hospital and is currently pursuing further training in General Practice.

Dr Gondal was a Widening Participation fellow, working closely with the Manchester Medical School’s admissions team as well as an Ambassador for the University. He currently heavily involved in medical education together with Dr Zainab Dhorat and has developed and lead several conferences and workshops across the UK and internationally for healthcare professionals.

Dr Gondal is keen to bring his skillset to CareerCPD and has joined the team to provide high quality courses, which are easily accessible.

Dr Zainab Dhorat BSc (Hons), MBChB

Acute Care Common Stem (ACCS) trainee in Anaesthesia and Critical Care


Dr Zainab Dhorat completed a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Sciences at The University of Bradford prior to completing her medical degree at The University of Manchester. As an Anaesthesia and Critical Care trainee within the North West Deanery, she has a widespread interest in resuscitative care. Dr Dhorat also has a strong interest in medical education and has co-directed courses that are taught both in the UK and internationally. She has also worked extensively with Dr Gondal across many projects including Widening Participation events at The University of Manchester and peer led teaching programmes during their foundation training.

Dr Dhorat is an advocate for delivering high quality educational opportunities as she recognises its subsequent impact on patient care. She is keen to use her experience to deliver reputable courses as a CareerCPD Trainer.

Dr Khurram Sadiq – MBBS, MRCPsych

Consultant Psychiatrist


Dr Sadiq is a Consultant Psychiatrist in South Manchester, working for the local Home Treatment Team and Homeless Team. Dr Sadiq has a strong passion for medical education and is highly aware of the skills gap in the health workforce specifically with regards to neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and Autism. Dr Sadiq has joined CareerCPD to help improve access to such courses. Dr Sadiq is also a Public Speaker and Key Note Speaker and has a particular interest on the use of social media and its effect on mental health.

Catrina Keenan RMN

Specialist Nurse Practitioner

Catrina gained her Mental Health Nursing Degree from Liverpool John Moore’s University as well as completing a degree in Psychosocial Interventions in relation to mental health from the University of Central Lancashire.

Catrina is an experienced mental health nurse currently working for a group of GP practices in Liverpool. As well as this she has had prior experience of working in both adult and old age inpatient wards.

Catrina is passionate about teaching and learning, she is a mentor and supervises nursing students. She has joined Career CPD to lead on delivering courses in relation to mental health to both nurses and the emergency services.
